IFG, in partnership with Skanska, was selected by the City of Worcester to be their Owner’s Project Manager for the design and construction of the new AAA ballpark.  Located in downtown Worcester, the ballpark will serve as the new home for the Worcester Red Sox to be relocated from Pawtucket, Rhode Island.  IFG assisted with the selection of the design team and CMAR and provided design reviews and assisted the City and Team with the technology systems coordination.

 

The new ballpark will accommodate up to 10,000 fans include 24 suites, club seating, outfield lawn seating, club house facilities, two retail stores and retail lease areas at Madison Street.  The overall planning includes significant mixed-use development on the adjacent sites, demolition of existing buildings and considerable infrastructure coordination. 

 

Designed by DAIQ Architects and constructed by Gilbane-AECOM Hunt JV, the ballpark opened in April 2021.
