PGE PARK - PORTLAND, OREGON

IFG PGE.jpg

The 2001 renovation to PGE Park, formerly Civic Stadium, created a home for the Triple-A baseball's Portland Beavers, A-League soccer's Portland Timbers, and NCAA Division 1-AA football's Portland State University Vikings.  The total capacity of the facility was approximately 20,000, expandable to 30,000 for NCAA Division 1-A football.  The $38.5 million project included seismic upgrades to the 1926 vintage structure, ADA upgrades, new back-of-house facilities, new seating, new concessions, new scoreboards, and many other improvements.

IFG served as the financial lender’s construction representative providing detailed reviews of project documentation and program requirements to identify and minimize the lender’s financial risk in the project.

Designed by Ellerbe Becket and constructed by the Turner Construction Company, the fast-track project completed on a 9-month construction schedule, opened on-time in April 2001.
