ED SMITH STADIUM - SARASOTA, FLORIDA

IFG Ed Smith.png

Ed Smith Stadium and the Sarasota Sports Committee opened in 1989 as the spring training home for the Chicago White Sox.  The complex includes a 7,500 seat stadium, four and ½ practice fields, and 35,000 square feet of clubhouses and office space.

IFG personnel coordinated the design and construction activities between the team and the City of Sarasota.  These actions also included budgeting and cost control issues.  IFG personnel managed the operations of spring training through the 1997 season.  The complex is now the spring home of the Cincinnati Reds.
