BANNER ISLAND BALLPARK- STOCKTON, CA

IFG Banner Island.jpg

IFG served as the lead sports facilities consultant for the City of Stockton during the development of Banner Island Ballpark. This ballpark served as the home of the Stockton Ports a Single A affiliate of the Oakland A’s. The $22 million, 5,500 seat project was built on the banks of the San Joaquin River delta and boasts an intimate atmosphere but with a unique openness. This new state-of-the-art facility not only replaced historic Billy Hebert Field but has also helped usher in a new renaissance known as the rebirth of downtown Stockton.

IFG responsibilities included design and drawing review, construction oversight, FFE procurement, and commissioning.  As one of the four venues covered under IFG-Stockton's facility management agreement with the City of Stockton, IFG’s staff also developed policies, procedures, and budgets for the ballpark's operation, coordinated its opening, and continues to have a responsibility for non-game operations, maintenance, and capital repairs.

Designed by HKS Architects and constructed by Swinerton Builders, Banner Island Ballpark was opened in April 2005.
