GREAT AMERICAN BALL PARK - CINCINNATI, OHIO

IFG Great American Ball Park.jpg

IFG served as Owner’s Representative to the Cincinnati Reds for their new open-air ballpark which includes 42,000 seats, 63 private suites, 2,000 club seats, a private stadium club, restaurant, brewpub, separate 30,000 square foot Hall of Fame and a natural grass field.  The $280 million ballpark was part of a $1 billion redevelopment of Cincinnati’s riverfront.

Since the Reds were responsible for all costs that exceeded the $280 million budget, IFG’s primary responsibility was to effectively manage this exposure.  IFG was retained at the completion of the Design Development phase to assist the County with the development and execution of the design and construction agreements, oversee the completion of construction documents, administer construction activities, and coordinate the direct purchase of food service equipment, playing field and video board on behalf of the Reds, who added enhancements to the project’s original scope.

Designed by HOK Sport and constructed by Hunt Construction Group, the ballpark opened in April 2003.
