FLORIDA MARLINS BALLPARK PROJECT 2000 - MIAMI, FLORIDA

IFG Marlins.jpg

IFG was retained by the Florida Marlins Baseball Club in 2000 as Owner’s Representative, to oversee all aspects of the team’s development of a new retractable roof ballpark.  The new ballpark was expected to include approximately 40,000 seats, with 60 suites, 3,000 premium seats, a stadium club and restaurant, wide concourses with generous concessions, novelty and fan support facilities and 1,500 convenient and secure parking spaces.

IFG’s responsibilities included site analysis, project team selection, program and design oversight and operations reviews.  Because adequate public funding for the new ballpark could not be obtained, the project was discontinued before the design was completed in Spring 2002.
