IFG was selected by the Maricopa County Stadium District in 2004 to conduct an assessment of Chase Field (formerly Bank One Ballpark).  The 49,500 seat ballpark which opened in 1998, was the first facility to combine a retractable roof, air conditioning and a natural grass playing field.

 

IFG analyzed the stadium’s infrastructure, operations and state of technology to compare Chase Field with other MLB stadiums, professional sports and entertainment facilities.  From this study, IFG assisted Maricopa County in initiating programs to improve operating efficiencies and developed a short and long term capital expenditure program to ensure that the newly renamed ballpark remained state-of-the-art and competitive with other similar venues.
