IFG personnel served in the capacity of Owner’s Representative and Development Manager for the United Center, a 20,500-seat arena that serves as the home of the NBA Chicago Bulls and NHL Chicago Blackhawks.  The arena, completed at a total budget of $175 million, includes amenities such as 212 luxury suites, banquet accommodations, a private arena club, and parking facilities for approximately 5,500 cars.  The building, opened in August 1994.

 

IFG personnel were involved in all aspects of planning, design, construction, and opening of the new arena including evaluation of various existing arenas, completion of a feasibility analysis, site planning, financing (private), lobbying for state legislation, land acquisition, resident relocation, facility design, contract negotiations, including construction contracts, team leases, concession and catering contracts, suite leases, construction administration, establishment of operating staffs and procedures, and continuing operations.
