IFG Role:

In 2004 IFG was retained by Major League Baseball to assist in the evaluation of proposals offered by Washington DC and Northern Virginia to become the new home of the Montreal Expos franchise (now the Washington Nationals). IFG provided review and assessment of the programs, budgets and schedules for each of their proposed new stadiums and temporary ballpark facilities.
After Washington DC was selected, IFG assisted the Nationals with the design and construction of improvements to RFK Stadium, which has been the team's interim home since the spring of 2005 and the new ballpark.
IFG's responsibilities included program development, design and operations reviews and construction oversight through the completion of the new ballpark.

Description: The new open air ballpark includes 41,000 seats, 68 suites, 2,500 club seats, 500 seat Founders Club, 1,300 seat Diamond Club, a two-story centerfield restaurant and 1,000 space parking ramp.
